My name is Giulia Paganini, I love photographing, traveling, and meeting new friends. I have a Bachelor's degree in Languages for International Relations and a Master's in Digital Communication. During my Bachelor's, I attended an academic semester at Beijing Language and Culture University in Beijing, an experience that made me fall in love with China. After graduation, I moved back to Beijing, where I lived for about two years. Here I completed my language studies at Beijing Language and Culture University and worked as a Digital Marketing & Communication Coordinator at the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce. In addition to the Italian language, I can speak Chinese, English, Spanish, and Korean, which I just started studying.

The photographs posted on this site were taken by me during the many trips I have undertaken, alone or with friends, to this day. During my adventures, I like not to plan the trip I am about to face, but leave everything to chance: this is how the most beautiful adventures are born. I love discovering and getting to know, meeting new friends and people who have so much to tell.

Today I can say that China is my second home. Here I had the chance to live in a small rural village in the middle of nowhere in Inner Mongolia, hosted by a local family; I traveled on the slow and crowded Chinese trains surrounded by natives from remote areas of China; I experienced the feeling of facing 24-hour train journeys sitting on the floor; I understood the beauty of sharing adventures and improvised expeditions in remote areas with friends from other countries, the beauty of struggling to communicate and adapt in the most desperate situations and finding solutions even when it seems impossible. But most of all, I learned to live with nothing and to be very very patient.

The most pleasing thing to me when I travel is to immerse myself in it completely.  Abandoning one's own rhythms, habits, ideas to fully understand the culture of other peoples, to immerse oneself with respect and curiosity in the daily lives of people who have a story to tell. My greatest fear is forgetting. Forgetting the stories, the lives, the details of everything I live day by day.

This site was born with the intention of remembering, transmitting and telling others a part of the stories that looks, places, colors and smiles have told me in my journey around the world.
